How are the snowflakes made?
A specially designed binding agent is used to set the sand onto a solid template in a series of layers. Once each layer has hardened, the form is carved to shape. The entire process is comprised of approximately 8 steps and takes 2-3 days to complete.

Are they fragile?
The snowflakes have a solid center, so they will not crumble apart. However, some top grains of sand could flake off if handled roughly. Exposure to moisture may also weaken the integrity of your snowflake.

Could I order a snowflake made from my own sand?
Absolutely! Please see our section on Custom Orders.

How do I tell the snowflakes apart?
All snowflakes are labeled by beach name on the bottom tip.

Are other shapes available?
No. Our concept rests on the notion that no two grains of sand are alike, just like snowflakes.
